Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Ministry of Internal Affairs, supported by the Government and UNDP, is actively engaging with key security forces and stakeholders across the regions to develop its Strategic Plan for 2026 to 2030.

On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, the team held a major consultation at the Bo District Council Hall, where diverse participants gathered to share their insights and perspectives.

Under the leadership of Morie Lengor Esq., the Minister of Internal Affairs, the engagement aimed to ensure the ministry’s success by incorporating the views of various stakeholders.In his address to the attendees, Minister Lengor emphasized the importance of the regional consultations in shaping the future of the Ministry’s strategic direction.

“Freetown is not Sierra Leone,” he stated, affirming the necessity of understanding regional dynamics and the unique challenges faced outside the capital.

The minister reiterated that the goal of the consultations is to gather valuable input from stakeholders to foster better outcomes for all involved in the strategic planning process.
