Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. His Excellency Brigadier (Rtd.) Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, has appointed Ing. Dr. Albert Forde as the Director General of the newly established Sierra Leone Railways Development and Regulatory Authority.
The appointment, conveyed in an official letter from the Office of the President dated 19th August 2025, was made in accordance with Section 14 (1) of the Sierra Leone Railways Development and Regulatory Authority Act, 2025.
In line with constitutional procedures, Dr. Forde has been directed to contact the Clerk of Parliament, who will arrange a meeting with the Committee on Appointments and the Public Service for consideration of his appointment. Upon parliamentary approval, the full terms and conditions of his appointment will be formally communicated.
