Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Sierra Leone on Tuesday welcomed the Minister of Information and Civic Education, Honourable Chernor Bah, for a high-level engagement focused on strengthening partnership and aligning development priorities for the year ahead.

During the visit, Minister Bah expressed deep appreciation to UNDP for its continued support to the people of Sierra Leone, noting that the organisation’s contributions have been instrumental in advancing national development goals. His message of gratitude resonated strongly with UNDP staff who attended the meeting.

Both the minister and UNDP centred discussions on strategic planning for 2026, with both parties agreeing on a renewed approach that prioritises fewer, bigger, and more impactful programmes. They shared vision aims to shift from scattered interventions to targeted, transformative initiatives capable of delivering long-term benefits for communities across the country.

UNDP also confirmed its participation in the upcoming three-day National Civic Festival, where it expects to explore innovative avenues of collaboration, particularly around building a more efficient, people-centred public service.
