Africa-Press – Tanzania. The approval of the CCM’s 2025- 2030 Election Manifesto is among the top of agenda of the meeting convened to prepare for the Special National Conference that has drawn over 2,000 delegates in Dodoma.
THE Chairperson of the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM)and President Samia Suluhu Hassan, today 26 May 2025, chaired a Central Committee meeting of the party’s National Executive Council in Dodoma.
The high-level meeting comes just two days ahead of the party’s Special National Conference, scheduled for May 29–30, 2025.
The session brought together top party officials, including the President of Zanzibar, Dr. Hussein Mwinyi who is also the CCM’s presidential candidate for Zanzibar in the upcoming 2025 general election, CCM Vice Chairperson Stephen Wasira, and Secretary General Dr. Emmanuel Nchimbi.
The Central Committee convened to prepare for the Special National Conference, where over 2,000 delegates are expected to deliberate and approve CCM’s 2025–2030 Election Manifesto.
The 2025–2030 manifesto will replace the outgoing 2020–2025 edition, whose implementation period is nearing completion.
The conference will also feature reports from both the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania and the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar on the performance of the current manifesto.
Additionally, the event will include proposed amendments to the CCM party constitution and the laying of a foundation stone for the construction of a new CCM national headquarters in Dodoma.
This Special National Conference is viewed as a significant event that will shape CCM’s policy direction and political messaging ahead of the 2025 general elections.
