Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, and the Government Spokesperson, Gerson Msigwa, has called on the private sector to collaborate with the government by investing in the sectors under the ministry.
He made the call when opening a training for the management and heads of institutions under the ministry on Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) held in Dodoma with the aim of enhancing efficiency in the ministry’s operations and the implementation of the National Development Vision 2050.
In his call, the PS stated that the collaboration between the government and the private sector will help increase and improve sports infrastructure.
Additionally, he said that the government is continuing with the construction of various stadiums across the country.
“We will build training and sports grounds in Dar es Salaam, Arusha, and Dodoma, and we are preparing a major program for the construction of sports and entertainment centers nationwide but the government cannot do everything alone; we must work together,” he said.
Elaborating, he said that the participation of the private sector is a policy requirement to help citizens benefit economically through the Information, Culture, Arts, and Sports sectors.
