AfricaPress-Tanzania: Burundi international and Yanga club striker Fiston Abdul Razack is expected to return to action on Monday to resume training with his Yanga team after recovering from a thigh muscle injury sustained in the final game against Tanzania Police which ended in a 1-1 draw.

The former Mamelod Sundowns star suffered an injury in the match which opened his scoring account in the Tanzania Mainland Premier League match played at the Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha.

Speaking to this newspaper yesterday, the team’s Acting Head Coach, Juma Mwambusi said Razack is currently doing well and is expected to join his teammates on Monday in preparation for the upcoming Mainland Premier League game.

“I’m happy to see Fiston back in the squad to start preparations for the next Premier League game against KMC we will be at home,” he said.

Mwambusi said all the focus is now on the KMC game to continue to increase the scope of points in the race for the Mainland Premier League title which for three consecutive seasons has been taken by their traditional hometown Simba.

Yanga are the leaders of the Tanzania Mainland Premier League at the top while they have accumulated 50 points after dropping 23 times surpassing second-placed Simba by four points while trailing by three games.
