AfricaPress-Tanzania: The 2-1 defeat against Coastal Union of Tanga did not disappoint Yanga coach Cedric Kaze who said they had put the result aside and were now looking forward to the upcoming matches.

Yanga who are the champions of the Premier League in Tanzania Mainland, tomorrow will descend on the Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium, Arusha to play with Tanzania Police another game that is expected to be a competition of its kind.

Speaking after the game, Kaze admitted the quality of their opponents was the reason they lost the game.

“Coastal deserved the victory, they played hard and fulfilled their responsibilities differently from us who I think we had a bad day but that’s how the ball is and I accept the result we have another match on Sunday (tomorrow) we are going to plan to make sure we get the victory,” said Kaze.

Kaze said his players, especially in the attacking zone, failed to properly fulfill the responsibilities he gave them and that gave their opponents a chance to play the game and get the result which has been of great benefit to them.

He said the act of his player Tuisila Kisinda missing a penalty kick and Coastal Union’s early goal seemed to confuse them although they later returned to the game and equalized but the act of failing to use the opportunities they created also strengthened their opponents.

For his part Juma Mgunda who is the head coach of Coastal Union, congratulated his players for following the instructions he gave them which made the victory successful which gave them all three points.

He said despite the results but Yanga is a good and tough team and he told his players to respect it due to the quality of the players they had and he is happy to see their goal achieved.

Mgunda said they will continue to make good use of Mkwakwani Stadium to get good results to put themselves in a good position because this season they have spent a lot of time strengthening their squad after many stars left at the end of last season.

The win against Yanga has lifted Coastal Union to 10th place, in the standings with 26 points in 22 games played so far.
