Ambassador Ayebare was officially sworn in on Monday by Vice President Jessica Alupo in a ceremony held in Kampala.

Following his appointment, Ayebare thanked President Museveni for the continued trust in his diplomatic service.
“Thank you, Your Excellency, for the trust in me over the years with strategic diplomatic assignments, both bilateral and multilateral. I look forward to diligently serving as an ex-officio in Cabinet,” Ayebare said in a statement.
He also thanked Vice President Alupo for presiding over his swearing-in.
Ayebare has served in various senior diplomatic roles, including as Special Envoy to the Burundi peace process, and is widely regarded as one of Uganda’s most experienced envoys on the international stage.
