Africa-Press – Angola. The free licensing campaign for motorcycle taxi drivers, taxi drivers and artisanal fishing boats, which started on 29 April, has registered little adherence by those targeted in the municipality of Quiçama, for unknown reasons.

According to the director of the municipal office for Transport, Traffic and Mobility, in Quiçama, Francisco Lemos, so far, 32 motorcycle taxi drivers, 48 driving licenses and 40 artisanal fishing vessels have been licensed.

For the official, these numbers still do not reflect the reality of the municipality, which is why he calls for the presence of the owners to avoid disagreements with the authorities in the coming days.

He made it known that, as I usually do, the tendency is to register a greater flow in the last few days, which can be avoided while the normal free phase takes place.

He warned that after the last day, those interested could legalize their activity in the municipal administrations of Quiçama and Cabolo Ledo, respectively.

If they were fined by the authorities to carry out the activity without a license, they may incur fines.

In the licensing and registration process, promoted by the Angolan Government, interested parties must, among other documents, present the registration book, vehicle title, driving license and Identity Card (BI).

The free mass campaign for licensing and registration of taxis and motorcycle taxi drivers, as well as artisanal fishing vessels, is due to end on the 15th of this month.
