Africa-Press – Angola. The 30 market, located in the municipality of Viana, in Luanda, will be restructured, later this year, for better convenience for sellers and to improve revenue collection, announced Saturday, the provincial vice-governor for the Economic Sector, Jorge Minguês.

According to the person responsible, who carried out a visit to the site, a restructuring of infrastructures and services is necessary, so that in the medium and long term conditions are created for the market to be able to sustain its expenses.

During the visit, the vice-governor held a meeting with sellers who complain about the lack of customers, due to the poor condition of the road, as well as evaluating the earthworks on two kilometers of the access road to the market, which began a week ago.

He highlighted that the restructuring, to be carried out later this year, will include paving the main road and paving the market areas, which become impassable during the rainy season.

“We are discussing to find ways, in the GPL portfolio, being one of the urgent works to be taken into account this year”, he said.

Situated in an area of ​​one million and 900 square meters, the KM30 market is considered the largest outlet for agricultural products in Angola. It has 5,276 vendors distributed across twelve sales sections. It is attended daily by 15 thousand people.
