Africa-Press – Angola. Angola qualified for the Afrobasket 2025 semifinals this Thursday after defeating Cape Verde 90-80 in a tough quarterfinal match played at the Kilamba pavilion in Luanda.

With point guard Childe Dundão leading the way, the match’s top scorer with 30 points, Angola’s victory came in the final stretch, thanks to better judgment against an opponent that also demonstrated its ability.

At halftime, the national team was leading 45-40, even building a 15-point lead before center Jilson Bango retired due to injury.
