Africa-Press – Angola. Angola is expected to participate in the 45th Annual Council of the Ports Management Association of West And Central Africa (PMAWCA), from the 4th to the 6th of the current month, in Pointe-Noire, Republic of Congo, Tuesday in Luanda.

According to a press release from the Angolan Association of Port Management (APANG), the event’s central theme will be “Reinventing Port Land Management: Towards the Development of Sustainable Port Infrastructure Resilient to Economic and Environmental Challenges”.

The discussion of the mentioned theme will allow for the exploration of possible innovations and strategies in order to make the ports become genuine enablers towards sustainable development.

The document adds the event will also serve to assess how to develop specific incentive systems for large value-adding activities, while preserving equitable access to essential infrastructure, and as ways to revolutionize the analysis related to the pricing and valuation of Portland.

The Council is the adequate forum for consultation among statutory members to address management and coordination issues within the Association.

“There will be an assessment of the PMAWCA’s progress and the collection of essential guidance for its future dynamism. Once the Extended Council meeting is held in person, the effective presence of all Directors General is required”, reads the document.

During the event, all the Association’s Technical Committees, the Finance and Economic Studies Committee (FEE), the Maritime Safety, Environmental Protection and Exploration Committee (SMPAE), the Technical Studies, Infrastructure and Development Committee (ETID), among others, should actively participate.
