Angonabeiro Supports 40,000 Coffee-Producing Families

Africa-Press – Angola. The company Angonabeiro supports a total of 40,000 rural families, producers and suppliers of coffee from the provinces of Cuanza-Sul, Cuanza-Norte, Uíge, Malanje, Bié and Cabinda. In a statement, the company’s general director, Carlos Alberto Gomes, highlighted that the company buys from small coffee growers from several villages in the producing regions. Regarding coffee production levels, Carlos Alberto Gomes stated that the transformation and production process is positive, because the company processes 450 tons of coffee per year.

He highlighted that production levels are limited, not by installed capacity, but by the size of the market.

In the specific case of the production of coffee capsules, under the brand name “Delta Q Ginga”, according to the general director, the company records a production of 400,000 per month, with only one shift.

“We currently work on a schedule, and during this period we can double production and easily reach two thousand tons per year, if there is raw material available for this purpose,” he said.

Carlos Alberto Gomes reported that the company’s production results have guaranteed a stock of around 300 tons, a quantity sufficient to meet needs until July of this year.

“From July onwards, we will increase the reserve with the production from the current 2024/2025 campaign”, assured the general director of Angonabeiro. In 2024, the company recorded sales growth of around 39 percent compared to the previous year, with the sale of more than two million “Delta Q Ginga” capsules.

In the 2023/2024 agricultural campaign, Angonabeiro exported 24 containers of green coffee to Portugal, which were incorporated into the coffee blends produced at Novadelta, the main factory. In recent years, according to Carlos Alberto Gomes, the company has invested around 18 million euros.
