Journalists from Portuguese-Speaking Countries Conclude Seminar

Africa-Press – Angola. A seminar on Development and Cooperation in Portuguese-speaking Countries closed Sunday, in Beijing, after three weeks of training, thematic visits and exchanges between journalists from Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde and São Tomé and Príncipe.

Promoted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and implemented by the Institute of International Studies and Advanced Training of International Communications of China, the seminar aimed to strengthen dialogue and media cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.

The program included lectures, forums and a Symposium on Xi Jinping’s Governance, covering topics on diplomacy, technological innovation and communication.

Participants carried out thematic visits to cultural and communication institutions, as well as companies and development projects in Beijing and Henan province, specifically in the cities of Luoyang, Mianchi and Zhengzhou, where they visited museums, production fields and participated in soirees.

They also visited factories and companies such as Yutong and StarTimes, in addition to tourist attractions and historical heritage.

In closing, the deputy director of the Institute of International Studies and Advanced Training of International Communications of China, Li Hengtian, highlighted that “in friendship, distance does not matter, even a thousand kilometers away you can still be neighbors”.

Moderated by the head of the Institute’s teaching department, Feng Yin, the final session reaffirmed the seminar as a platform for cooperation and mutual learning, a symbol of the lasting friendship between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.
