Africa-Press – Angola. A total of 37 of the 74 diamonds prepared for auction at the Icolo & Bengo event in Luanda, the capital of Angola, belong to the Luele Mining Company, making it the largest supplier at the event.

The Catoca company occupies the second position with 14 stones, followed by Mussende with eight. The least represented are Cuilo Kwenda, Somiluana and Furi, with one diamond each.

According to a press release obtained on Monday, the event promoted by SODIAM, will feature viewing sessions from 23rd February to 3rd March at its headquarters in Luanda.

The report states that the bidding process will be conducted electronically and will close at 10:00 on 4 March. The online auction is organized by SODIAM in collaboration with Trans Atlantic GEM Sales.

It clarifies that the auction is aimed at clients registered in the SODIAM database with experience in trading special stones. The lots include a total of 74 stones weighing 10.80 carats or more.

Luele Mining Society, S.A., a company focused on the prospecting, exploration and recovery of diamonds, stands out as the second largest open-pit mine in the world.
