Africa-Press – Angola. Two men were recently arrested in Cuito, Bie Province, for allegedly sexually abusing and transmitting HIV/AIDS to five teenagers.
The National Police spokesperson, Chief Superintendent António Hossi, disclosed the information, adding that the two young men, aged 22 and 25, respectively, were arrested in the city of Cuito.
Despite knowing they were HIV-positive, the men lured girls aged 13 to 15 with money and other items in exchange for unprotected sex.
One of the victims told a relative what had happened. The relative then filed a complaint with the National Police.
After blood tests, it was confirmed that the girls were infected with HIV/AIDS.
