Africa-Press – Angola. The province of Moxico has a shortage of 825 general government employees to ensure the functioning of the Public Administration.

This information was analyzed during the first extraordinary session of the Provincial Government, following the collection of statistical data on the province’s human resources, resulting from the New Political Division (DPA), which resulted in the current province of Moxico Leste.

The public statement from the meeting states that the province of Moxico needs 825 employees to fill vacancies in the 12 municipalities that comprise the region.

According to the Government, this concern will be forwarded to the central government agency via the Ministry of Territorial Administration (MAT) for appropriate processing.

During the Government session, topics such as the province’s participation in the Fair of Municipalities and Cities of Angola (FMCA), the creation of a technical group to boost the tourism sector, and a program to promote small industries in rural areas were also discussed.

According to government data, the province remains the largest in Angola, with approximately 140,000 km2 (more than 10% of the national territory), and a population of more than 930,000 inhabitants, administratively organized into 12 municipalities and 13 communes.Moxico borders Lunda Sul to the north, Bié to the northwest, Cuando to the west, Cubango to the southwest, Moxico Leste to the east, and the Republic of Zambia to the south and southeast.
