Africa-Press – Angola. The National Karate Team won ten bronze medals at the African Championships (CAN), which concluded this Monday in Abuja, Nigeria.
The medals were won in the individual junior category, for both genders.
Angola participated with fourteen athletes and ranked third among 20 countries as the African team.
With this feat, the team qualified for the World Championships, to be held in November in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The Federation’s President, Giliano André, said that, twenty years later, Angola returns to the international stage to honor the tradition of the sport.
