Africa-Press – Angola. A delegation of members of the National Assembly (AN) carried out, on Tuesday (1), a pedagogical and supervision visit to the Maternal and Child Reference Centers of Chimbicato (municipality of Camama) and Palanca (Kilamba Kiaxi).
The initiative took place within the scope of the Health, Sexual and Reproductive Rights, HIV-AIDS and Governance Project of the Parliamentary Forum of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
In statements to the press, MP Luísa Damião said that the visits served to understand how young people and teenagers are adhering to the project that the AN signed with the SADC – Parliamentary Forum.
She added that it also allowed them to assess how professionals deal with users regarding this matter.
“We understand that in order to have birth control, we need to be familiar with Family Planning Programs, because the demographic issue is also an economic problem,” she said.
