The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, arrived in New Delhi this Friday morning (early morning in Angola), where he is on a three-day state visit, at the invitation of his counterpart Draupadi Murmu. During his three days in India, the Angolan Head of State, who will be accompanied by the First Lady, Ana Dias Lourenço, will meet with his counterpart, Draupadi Murmu, and with the Head of the Indian Government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The program of the Angolan statesman’s visit begins with a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, with President João Lourenço due to visit his Memorial, where, in addition to laying a wreath, he will sign the Book of Honour.
Another highlight of João Lourenço’s state visit will be his speech at the Business Forum on Sunday, which will bring together businesspeople from both countries.
