World Bank Invests 100 Million Kwanzas in Cuito Registry

Africa-Press – Angola. The World Bank (WB) will invest one hundred million kwanzas in renovating the Cuito Land Registry Office, Bié province.

Pedro Marcelino, coordinator of the World Bank’s “Diversify More” project, stated at the contract award ceremony that the institution’s renovation aims to improve services provided to citizens as well as staff accommodation.

Pedro Marcelino stated that the goal is also to improve the business environment in the provinces that make up the Lobito corridor, as part of the project to accelerate economic diversification and job

creation. Following the renovation, according to the coordinator of the “Diversify More” project, the World Bank will also finance the provision of furniture and IT equipment.

In turn, the head of the company in charge of the “LN and LL” project, Liayuca Chivala, assured compliance with the four-month deadlines stipulated in the contract.
