Africa-Press – Burkina Faso. The President of Faso, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORÉ, granted an audience this Monday morning to the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to our country, Lu SHAN.
At the end of his three-year mission in Burkina Faso, the Chinese diplomat came to say goodbye and take stock of Sino-Burkinabe cooperation with the Head of State.
« China and Burkina Faso have established strategic partnerships and our two countries provide mutual support on issues affecting each other’s vital interests, » said the Chinese diplomat after his meeting with the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré.
Chinese Ambassador Lu Shan stressed that the two countries are committed « to working harder to ensure that our pragmatic cooperation bears more fruit for the benefit of our countries’ development and the improvement of the well-being of the two peoples. »
Ambassador Lu Shan noted that numerous projects are underway to strengthen cooperation between Burkina Faso and the People’s Republic of China. « I am confident that my successor and the Burkinabe authorities will work hand in hand to strengthen this cooperation, » he said.
Chinese diplomat Lu Shan said he appreciated the hospitality of the Burkinabe people. « During my stay here, I fully felt the friendship and solidarity of my Burkinabe friends (…) Personally, I will always be a reliable friend of Burkina Faso and I will always make my contribution to the development of Sino-Burkinabe relations, » concluded Ambassador Lu Shan.
