Africa-Press – Cape verde. The São Vicente City Council (CMSV) officially delivered three garbage compactor trucks today, improving collection conditions, especially with the significant increase in waste following the rains of August 11th.
According to the municipality, the trucks were acquired through Public Tender | Procedure No. 02/CMSV/2023, with funding from the National Environmental Fund and the CMSV itself.
The handover ceremony was attended by the President of the CMSV, Augusto Neves, accompanied by Councilman José Carlos and the heads of the Municipal Auto Park and Workshop.
The CMSV also urged the entire population to ensure that garbage is always placed inside the containers and asked that people wait for household garbage collection to avoid leaving it scattered on the streets.
