Africa-Press – Cape verde. The São Vicente Health Delegation is promoting health fairs in various communities starting Tuesday, with the aim of facilitating access to care and raising awareness of the importance of physical, mental, and social well-being.
According to Inforpress, citing a statement from the institution, the initiative kicks off on World Health Day, celebrated on Tuesday, with activities in the localities of Calhau and Lazareto.
The fairs include screenings, complementary exams, vaccinations, general and specialist consultations, as well as health education activities.
On Wednesday, the activities will take place in Salamansa and, the following day, in São Pedro, maintaining the same type of services.
World Health Day is celebrated annually on April 7th, under the auspices of the World Health Organization.
This year, the date is marked under the theme “Together for health. Support science,” which highlights the importance of evidence-based decisions, global cooperation, and strengthening public trust in health systems.
