According to a statement from the Mozambican Institute for the Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises, the agreement will allow technical teams from both institutions to work directly on establishing mechanisms that facilitate business exchanges and expand commercial opportunities between Mozambique and Italy, at a time when Maputo is seeking to attract foreign investments to support its industrial development plans.

During his participation in a business roundtable in the Italian capital, President Chapo presented a range of investment opportunities in strategic sectors to Italian business leaders, emphasizing the reforms his government is implementing “to make Mozambique more competitive and attractive.”

Chapo confirmed that his country aims to establish strong and sustainable partnerships capable of accelerating economic growth and achieving greater prosperity for the Mozambican people.

The Mozambican president’s three-day visit included high-level meetings with Italian President Sergio Mattarella and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, where both sides discussed new areas of cooperation and ways to enhance bilateral relations.
