Ivory Coast claimed the top position in Group 6 of the Africa Cup of Nations after a dramatic 3-2 comeback victory against Gabon. The defending champions now have seven points, tied with Cameroon, who defeated Mozambique 2-1. The defending champions, Ivory Coast, now have seven points, the same as Cameroon, which has one fewer goal. Mozambique also advanced to the Round of 16 with three points as one of the best four third-placed teams.
Goulour Kanga and Denis Bouanga scored for Gabon, putting them ahead 2-0 after 21 minutes, but Jean-Philippe Krasso narrowed the gap just before halftime.
Ivory Coast turned the tables late in the match when Ivan Gisan equalized six minutes from the end, and Bazumana Tori scored the winning goal in stoppage time.
