Africa-Press – Eswatini. Year after year, believers gather for one of Eswatini’s most uplifting outdoor worship experiences, the Created to Worship annual celebration.
This year marked its 5th edition, hosted at St Marks High School Sports Ground last week Saturday, and it continues to grow into a staple event for worship lovers across the country.
Unlike ordinary concerts, Created to Worship is a consistent yearly gathering designed for authentic encounters, praise, and spiritual renewal. Rooted in Psalm 150:6, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord,” the event has built a reputation as a time when Christians set aside a day each year to reconnect with God and one another in an atmosphere of music and fellowship.
What began as short YouTube worship clips by host Buhlebenkhosi Dlamini-Mthimkhulu has now become an annual highlight on the Christian calendar. Each year, the sessions draw bigger crowds and new faces, proving the lasting impact of worship music on individuals and the nation.
This year’s celebration featured guest ministers Nhlakanipho Dlamini, Rina Mthethwa, and Muzi Mndzebele, whose voices led worshippers into powerful praise moments under the open skies of Mbabane. Families enjoyed a festive day with stalls offering food, drinks, and Christian brands, while children joined in the joyful atmosphere.
Reflecting on five years of annual gatherings, Dlamini-Mthimkhulu said:
“It is definitely a testimony that God is good. Reaching five years with the same team is an honour, and watching the following grow proves the spiritual impact of these sessions. Doing something for God each year gives me a huge level of fulfillment.”
She emphasized the timeless role of music in uniting people:
“Music is a universal language, but worship music goes deeper, it strengthens social bonds and serves as a powerful source of unity for the nation at large.”
With its annual consistency, Created to Worship has become more than just an event, it is a tradition. Worshippers are encouraged to always keep their calendars open for it, as Dlamini-Mthimkhulu shared:
“If you love worship music, imagine the beautiful hills of Mbabane, a cool breeze, good food, and heartfelt worship. You definitely won’t want to miss the next outdoor worship experience.”
