Africa-Press – Eswatini. National Commissioner Vusi Manoma Masango is an alleged close friend to SwaziPharm Director Kareem Ashraff and has been receiving money from the alleged multibillion thief, evidence substantiating this, if need arise, will be released in due course.
As the Anti Corruption Commission(ACC) investigates the fraud and corruption allegations amid shortage of drugs in public hospitals, the police as a law enforcement agency, remains a strategic stakeholder in assisting the ACC and in fact, some police officers were seconded to assist in the investigations and those law enforcement officers report direclty to the National Commissioner and, the Acting ACC Commissioner Maphevu Mkhatjwa while Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini in his capacity as the Minister of Police, is alleged to be interfering.
But I was expecting the National Commissioner to publicly declare his relationship with Kareem Ashraff, the SwaziPharm Director is also highly connected within the Judiciary through Chief Justice Bheki Maphalala and other Judges.
But apart from that, Kareem Ashraff is also a close friend to the Prime Minister of this country and/or the Minister of Police but he is not close to Attorney General(AG) Sifiso Khumalo and the Director of Public Prosecutions(DPP) Lomvula Hlophe.
King Mswati long commanded that, the health crisis must be investigated and those responsible must face the wrath of the law.
But we must ask ourselves if with the aforementioned political connections, will Swazipharm Director Kareem Ashraff be easily arrested?.
It is important for all those who once took money from Ashraff including the National Commissioner Vusi Masango to declare their interests in the health crisis investigation otherwise, we will expose all of them.
The health crisis has reached a point where, we won’t tolerate the obstruction of justice by individuals entrusted by the King to administrate law enforcement institutions, we want suspects behind bars and, the supply of drugs in public hospitals.
