GFF League Updates- GAF, Samger Shows Superiority On Top

67

Statistics in GFF League Division One have shown that twelve (12) goals have been registered in Match Day Three that is winding up on Monday 23rd December with Fortune takes on Marimoo later today at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama.

The new table toppers are GAF on 7 points following two wins and a draw. The Khaki boys catapult to the top recently after beating last week leaders Hawks FC 1-0 at the weekend. Their ascendancy is a little narrower than Week Two with just an inferior point against their opponents. Hawks therefore have cut short their unbeaten run when they faced off the Khaki boys.
Super Cup Winners Real De Banjul and the League Defending Champions Brikama United cancelled out each other with a classic 2-2 draw on Sunday and thus both sides are level on 5 points each on 4th and 5th positions respectively with the Whites having a better goal difference of +2.
Meanwhile Wallidan are joined with Elite United, Tallinding United and Banjul United all on Four (4) points each and occupying 6th, 7th and  8th places trailing Banjul and Tallinding United at 9th and and 10th positions on the standings.
Fortune FC and GPA are on 11th and 12th places with only a solitary point for each while B/K Milan and Marimoo are occupying the garbage zone with zero point. Meanwhile the final game of Week Three will be played on Monday 23rd December 2019 when Fortune takes on Marimoo at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama at 4:30pm.
In League Division Two, Samger are the new leaders with 7 points after a win over Immigration at Match Day Three. Second place occupants PSV Wellingara failed to secure a chance at the top after losing to Latrikunda United by a lone goal trailing behind in second at 6 points.
Gunjur, Bombada, B4U Kiang  are 3rd, 4th and 5th on the trailer with 6 points after all won their second games. Latrikunda United came from behind to earn sixth place after their 1-0 victory over PSV Wellingara to level with Young Africans who lost 1-0 to Bombada over the weekend.
League Two mid table is seemingly interesting as Falcons FC secured a point from Steve Biko 0-0 to earn the (8th) place leaving Immigration who played only two games at (9th) place with 3 points. Red Hawks had their first victory of 2-0 over Jam City last week to get their 3 points and (10th)on the table.
Jarra West and 2nd Infantry are 11th and 12th on the standings with countryside Jarra West on a a better goal difference separating the two. Jam City (13th) played two games alongside Immigration FC, while Steve Biko sits (14th) on the table after goalless draw against Falcons. The giant killers could only draw one game and still struggling to find a winning formula.
Team Rhino are on the drop zone sitting bottom of the table 16th position losing all three matches and conceding four goals.
