Africa-Press – Namibia. NAMIBIA is participating in the 49th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), currently taking place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The Ministry of International Relations and Trade noted that the fair brings together exhibitors from across the region and beyond to showcase a wide range of products, services and technologies, while also promoting trade and investment collaboration across East and Southern Africa. The event is organised by the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade).

The Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB), which now operates under the Ministry, emphasised that Namibia’s participation provides a strategic platform to access new markets, enhance cross-border trade, and promote the country’s high-quality exports to a broader audience.

“Namibia’s participation at DITF 2025 presents a valuable opportunity to strengthen trade ties, explore new markets and promote local products in the East African region. On the margins of the DITF on Monday, 7 July 2025, the High Commission of the Republic of Namibia to the United Republic of Tanzania, the Ministry of International Relations and Trade, and the NIPDB, in collaboration with Heineken Tanzania, hosted a vibrant Namibia Day at the Windhoek Pavilion,” the Ministry added.

According to the NIPDB, the event welcomed diplomats, business executives and friends of Namibia for a networking and cultural experience featuring authentic Namibian cuisine and products such as premium meat, seafood, beverages, biltong, dates and more.
