Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Sierra Leone national team head coach, Mohamed Kallon has invited Musa ‘Tombo’ Noah Kamara and 25 other players for training as part of his preparation for the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers due in September and October this year.

The Sierra Leone FA announced that the invited players will commence preliminary training as part of their early preparations for Sierra Leone’s final fixtures later this year.

The FA urged the invited players to be ready for an intensive training session which will commence immediately after the Easter break.“The training camp is set to be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at the SLFA Academy in Kingtom, Freetown, starting at 7:00 AM prompt,” the FA said.

They admonished all invited players to be registered at the training grounds on time as they prepare to witness “intensive sessions” while the technical team will be assessing talented players that could join the team in September as they prepare to play Guinea-Bissau in Group A.

Some of the players invited include Samuel Bekoe, Musa Noah Kamara and Osman Koroma of East End Lions, Mohamed Fogbawa of Old Edwardians, Joseph Cleveland of Ports Authority and Bureh Koroma of Mighty Blackpool.

Leone Stars are currently in third position with 8 points —3 points behind Burkina Faso in second and 8 points behind Egypt in the Group A standings.

Sierra Leone will play Guinea-Bissau away on September 1, 2025, before hosting Ethiopia the following week. Victory against both teams will be crucial for the West Africans if they are to qualify for their first-ever World Cup competition.
