Africa-Press – Tanzania. The Chairperson of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Justice Jacobs Mwambegele, has directed election supervisors to work diligently to ensure the General Elections are conducted fairly, transparently, and with integrity.

Speaking during a meeting with 1,396 chief and assistant election supervisors from 12 wards in Tanganyika Constituency, Katavi Region, Justice Mwambegele emphasized the importance of adhering to established laws and guidelines to maintain peace and national unity during the election period.

“We want an election conducted transparently and fairly for all participating parties. Supervisors must act with integrity and ensure that every step aligns with democratic principles,” said Justice Mwambegele.

Meanwhile, the Chief Election Supervisor for Nsimbo Constituency, Julius Zacharia, called on 867 supervisors who will oversee 281 polling stations to carry out their duties faithfully and in accordance with the Commission’s directives.

He added that careful execution of these responsibilities will help guarantee a free, fair, and credible election.
