Africa-Press – Tanzania. NCCR-Mageuzi said it opposes any kind of demonstrations that could lead to a breach of peace in the country, saying such actions would cause tension and fear among voters ahead of the General Elections.
The party has instead urged Tanzanians to turn out in large numbers to vote.
This was said today, October 27, 2025, by the party’s Secretary-General, Dr. Evaline Munisi, while speaking to the media at the party’s headquarters in Dar es Salaam.
Dr. Munisi further noted that in their 2025 Manifesto, the first among their ten key agendas is the pursuit of a National Consensus aimed at promoting reconciliation, as the party believes peace and unity can only be achieved through mutual understanding.
“We will attain justice and equality just as we did when political parties jointly pushed for reforms to certain election laws and regulations, as the government was receptive to our proposals,” said Dr. Munisi.
Additionally, she commended the Registrar of Political Parties, Judge Francis Mutungi, for his effective guidance and mentorship of political parties — efforts she said have led to more peaceful and diplomatic campaigns compared to past elections, with each party promoting its manifesto without conflicts or verbal altercations.
The party also praised President Samia Suluhu Hassan for her steadfast leadership and for maintaining national stability and security despite various challenges and threats to peace.
