AfricaPress-Tanzania: YANGA’s interim coach, Juma Mwambusi, has stressed that they need to strategize according to the incoming competitions, with well organized plans to ensure they achieve their intended goals

Mwambusi, who left Yanga in January this year to get treament, has been reinstated to serve the team after the club’s leadership sacked the technical bench led by Cedric Kaze because of poor results in this season’s Vodacom Premier League.

Speaking in Dar es Salaam yesterday, Mwambusi said the first thing he planned to do was meet all the players on Monday (today) and negotiate with them to set the same strategies.

“I look forward to meeting the players and having a session with them to set our strategies towards Premier League matches, FA Cup and plan how to do well,” he said.

The former Mbeya City head coach said he will have his own strategies that he will combine with the ones put by the leaders, who will also need to listen to them in order to get good results.

Mwambusi said he has already reached agreement with the club in his interest to continue to serve his job properly.

Winning the VPL’s silverware is one of Yanga’s goals, but soon their dreams began to melt away due to poor performances in second round matches, in which the squad seems to get more draws than wins.

However, Yanga are still in a good position in the Premier League, they are enjoying the driver’s seat in the tournament.

The team have recorded 50 po from 23 fixtures, notching victory in 14 outings, drawn eight and lost one.

Their result in the last few matches made fans desperate for the championship race and feared the side’s rivals Simba might move to the top spot.

The Msimbazi Street-based team, placed second in the Premier League after notching 46 points in 20 games, are yet to battle it out in three fixtures, which could see them move to the top if the post win in all ties.
