YANGA STRATEGIC STRATEGIES

AfricaPress-Tanzania: Acting Yanga Head Coach, Juma Mwambusi said they need to set strategies based on the competition in front of them how to plan to ensure they achieve the intended goals.

Mwambusi, who left Yanga in January this year on suspicion of ill health, has been reinstated to serve the team after the club’s leadership broke the technical bench headed by Cedric Kaze following dissatisfaction with the poor results.

Speaking to this newspaper in Dar es Salaam yesterday, Mwambusi said the first thing he planned to do was meet all the players on Monday and hold talks with them to put in place similar strategies.

“I look forward to meeting the players and holding a session with them to set our strategies towards Premier League matches, FA Cup how to plan to do well,” he said.

The former Mbeya City coach said he will have his own strategies that he will combine with those of the leadership who will also need to listen to them in order to do better.

Mwambusi said he has already settled with the club in his interest to continue serving his job properly.

One of Yanga’s goals is to win the championship, but soon their dreams began to melt away due to poor performances in some second-round matches appearing to get more draws than victory.

However, Yanga is still in a good leadership position having played 23 games and won 14, drawn eight and lost one with 50 points.

Their result in the last few matches made the fans desperate for the title race and feared his traditional compatriot Simba could come down as he is second with 46 points in 20 games and if he plays three wins and a win he can take them out of the lead.
