Africa-Press – Angola. The Angola health unit Girassol Clinic is hosting in Luanda, this Sept 11th and 12th, an International Immunoallergology Meeting to share experiences and analyze issues related to various pathologies.
Happening under the motto “The Bridge that Connects All Medical Specialties,” the meeting aims to highlight the cross-cutting role of immuno-allergology in clinical practice.
According to the event’s spokesperson, Carla dos Santos, the event is dedicated to a medical specialty that is increasingly relevant in the diagnosis and treatment of various pathologies.
The program, she said, is divided into two main sections: the first day, dedicated to practical and intensive courses at the Girassol Clinic facilities.
The second day of the event is reserved for thematic debates, lectures, and roundtable discussions, with the participation of national and international experts.
According to the director, the initiative is part of the health institution’s strategy of promoting scientific meetings to maintain active clinical reflection, strengthen undergraduate and postgraduate medical training, and encourage knowledge sharing among national and international specialists.
Carla dos Santos announced that the meeting will feature Angola and Brazil’s renowned specialists, who will discuss issues linked to diseases such as asthma, rhinitis, food allergies, immunotherapy, occupational allergies, anaphylactic emergencies, and other pathologies.
“Immuno-allergology is a field that interacts with virtually all other medical specialties. With this meeting, Girassol reaffirms its commitment to innovation, science, and the continuous improvement of medical practice in Angola,” she highlighted.
The organization foresses the participation of approximately 300 professionals in the discussions and 150 in the training courses.
