Algerian swimmer Jouad Sayoud has won the gold medal in the 400-meter individual medley at the Islamic Solidarity Games. The event is taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, featuring 3,000 athletes from 57 Islamic countries. Algeria’s swimming team also earned a bronze medal in the mixed 4×100-meter freestyle relay.

The sixth edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games is taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with the participation of 3,000 athletes from 57 Islamic countries. The event commenced on Friday with an impressive opening ceremony.

Additionally, the Algerian swimming team secured a bronze medal in the mixed 4×100-meter freestyle relay, featuring athletes Ridwan Bouali, Nazeem Ben Bara, Rima Ben Mansour, and Nasreen Mujahid. It is noteworthy that the Islamic Solidarity Games will conclude on November 21, 2025.

The Islamic Solidarity Games were established to promote unity and cooperation among Muslim countries through sports. The inaugural event took place in 2005, and since then, it has grown to include thousands of athletes competing in various disciplines. The games serve as a platform for athletes to showcase their talents and foster camaraderie among nations.
