Africa-Press. Al-Hilal moved top of their group in the CAF Champions League after a valuable 2–1 home win over South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns.
Al-Hilal lead Group C with 8 points from four matches, while Sundowns stayed on 5 points and dropped to second place.
Mohamed Abdelrahman opened the scoring for Al-Hilal with a penalty deep into first-half stoppage time, before Jean Claude Jerome Mugisha doubled the hosts’ lead four minutes after the restart with a low long-range strike.
Arthur Sales pulled one back for the South African side in the 61st minute.
In the 78th, Al-Hilal goalkeeper Sofiane Farid saved a close-range effort from Divine Lunga to keep his team in front.
