Africa-Press. At least 21 people have died in South Africa following a collision involving three vehicles in the Western Cape province.
The national traffic authority and local officials announced that the accident occurred on the N1 highway between the towns of Prince Albert and Leeu-Gamka, approximately 380 kilometers east of Cape Town.
The Road Traffic Management Corporation stated on a social media platform that the incident involved two minibus taxis and a third vehicle.
The spokesperson for the Western Cape Department of Transport, Monira Ali, reported that the collision took place on Sunday evening, adding that several others sustained serious injuries.
