Nguma Yi maintained their fine form in the 2019 Africell- sponsored Serrekunda East Nawettan, following their outstanding performance in the East wet season biggest football festivity.
The Serrekunda-based team opened their 2019 Nawettan campaign with a 3-1 victory over Maccasa before drawing goalless with Farokono in their second group match. They thumped Abuko South 2-0 in their third group game on Wednesday to top group F with 7 points after three group matches.
In the other scores, Falcons drew 1-1 with Goh Bi, Cannon thrashed Future Stars 3-1 while Latrikunda United drew goalless with Future Bi. Bradford also goalless with Rangers and Blue Stars drew 1-1 with Maccasa on Tuesday while T. Central beat New Germany 1-0 in group E match on Wednesday.
Matches will continue at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium, today, Zurich will lock horns with Shop Bi at 3pm encounter while Uprising will take on Ball Conge 5pm kick off. Eagle Star will welcome Weh Weh Bi on Saturday at 3pm kick off while Juventus will tussle with Bantaba at 5pm encounter.
Milan FC will rub shoulders with Hand Over on Sunday at 3pm while Manchester United will wrestle with super cup holders Milan Rose at 5pm kick off.
