Africa-Press – Tanzania. CHAMA Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) presidential running mate, Ambassador Dr Emmanuel Nchimbi, has pledged that the party’s next government will introduce a robust project monitoring system to curb corruption and misuse of public funds if it wins the 2025 General Election.

Addressing a public rally at Ngudu Village, Mwankulwe Ward, Kwimba Constituency, Mwanza Region yesterday, Dr Nchimbi said the system is a key priority in CCM’s 2025–2030 Election Manifesto, aimed at ensuring development projects are fully implemented and public resources safeguarded.

He said close supervision will guarantee efficient use public funds and deliver intended results.

“Since President Samia Suluhu Hassan took the oath to protect peace and freedom, she has worked tirelessly to align that commitment with advancing development,” he said.

Dr Nchimbi noted that delays in completing projects often spark public frustration, but President Samia has assured Tanzanians that projects will be finalised within the scheduled timeframe.

“Development is like a wound that demands close care and integrity; if neglected, it festers, but if handled properly, it heals and strengthens,” he said.

He added that CCM’s goal is to speed up implementation of development projects so they move at an even greater pace, raising national prosperity and improving people’s welfare.

Outlining specific commitments for the constituency, Dr Nchimbi promised the construction of 20 new dispensaries, completion of four facilities already underway and establishment of five new health centres.

He also pledged that Kwimba District Hospital will be upgraded with full specialist services.

On education, he promised more classrooms in both primary and secondary schools, more teachers and curriculum improvements. “We want our children educated. Within three years, every child must be able to read, write and count,” he said.

He reiterated CCM presidential candidate campaign launch pledges in Kawe, Dar es Salaam that special groups, including the elderly, expectant mothers, children and persons with disabilities, will benefit from health insurance coverage.

Before outlining new promises, Dr Nchimbi highlighted what the Samia-led government has already delivered in Kwimba. He cited the new district hospital, an increase in health centres from 50 to 61 and a rise in health workers from 335 to 513.

In education, he said the number of secondary schools have grown from 34 to 43, primary schools from 154 to 161 and classrooms from 436 to 709.

“Anyone with a sound mind cannot say CCM has done nothing. If someone says that, rush them to hospital immediately,” he said.

On infrastructure, he said water supply coverage in Kwimba has improved from 56 to 77 per cent, electrified villages increased from 60 to 119, while 230 kilometres of gravel roads and six kilometres of tarmac have been built. Ambassador Nchimbi further pledged 120 kilometres of new tarmac roads within the next five years.
