They also destroyed the local market and several homes, according to a statement from a local police spokesperson, Wasiu Abiodun.
Abiodun stated, “More than 30 victims died during the attack, and others were kidnapped.”
At least two residents reported the death toll as 37, indicating that the number could be much higher, as some individuals remain missing as of Sunday.
