Africa-Press. The President of Côte d’Ivoire, Alassane Ouattara, has reappointed Robert Beugré Mambé as head of government, less than two weeks after the previous cabinet was dissolved. Ouattara asked the designated Prime Minister to expedite the presentation of his new cabinet.
Mambé, 74, had held the position since 2023 until the government’s dissolution on January 7. He is regarded as a prominent figure in the ruling party and won the last legislative elections in the Songon constituency in December.
The reappointment comes in a political context that requires a swift government reformation to address economic and social challenges, with the announcement of new ministers expected in the coming days.
