Algeria entered the match against Burkina Faso with the same strong mentality they showed in their first game against Sudan, demonstrating a powerful offense and making several dangerous attempts to threaten their opponent’s goal. Early on, they created multiple chances, while Burkina Faso struggled to mount significant attacks against Algeria.
In the 22nd minute, Algeria was awarded a penalty, successfully converted by star player Riyad Mahrez.
